Located on unceded Algonquin Nation ancestral territory, the Zibi redevelopment is an ambitious, $1.2 billion-project that aims to convert a 37-acre brownfield industrial site into the world’s most sustainable residential and commercial community. We are honoured to act as the Algonquin liaison general contractor for this remarkable undertaking. Over its expected 15-year construction schedule, Zibi will require a significant labour force to assist in the decontamination, demolition, remediation and construction of this former industrial property. Our role, in part, is to assemble an inventory of Algonquin-Anishinabe construction tradesworkers and help them get the training and certification they need to work on the Zibi project.
